A Brilliant Light

The Lord my Sheperd
To lay me down
The Earth my Mother
My solid ground

The sun the moon
The shining stars
Life a wound
To bear my scars

The river flows
Inside the shore
Howling winds
Lament no more

Treetops sway
Displacing breeze
My painful heart
Lord, help me please

Oh tearing eyes
Alas they cry
Woe to query
Why ask “why?”

A call for aid
Yet there is none
Emotions torn
No nine one, one

The List my name
The swinging gate
A brilliant light
For Him I wait
