If
I came, home
And you waited
What would you say?

Knowing
This moment anticipated
How could I pay?

In the night
Searching your eyes
What would I see?

Every wrong
Forever right
For you and me

If
I slept
By your side
Would you reach out?

And if time
Shared its secrets
Would there be doubt?

From your touch
Sensing my soul
What should I trust?

If
In my dreams
Your spirit spoke
Listen I must

If shadows spawned
In silhouette
Would you be there?

And if discretion
Decried candor
Would it be fair?

If I came, home
And you waited
Who would I see?

Then sadly
Your tears cried
What could it be?

Passion tenderly teasing
How would I feel?
If holding me,

Your heart
Held mine
Would it be real?
