Listening to Children

Cats meow and doggies bark;
does moonlight shine
when it gets dark?

I love to read
I love to write
and I love learning
day and night

The sky the ground
rivers and rocks
the spinning earth
never stops

The wind is strong
It bends the trees
when I fall down
I skin my knees

I close my eyes
and soon it’s day
I wake I wash
and then I play

My day in school
is so much fun;
happier, I am,
when home, I come

Milk Man, Milk Man
where are you,
I need more milk
and I am blue.

Oh, please, Milk Man
hurry, come:
I thirst for milk
and “I ‘want’ some!”

“The world is learning to a child;
and children are little for just a while;
to assure learning provide all parts;
and before birth is when it starts.”
